Mid-range Tocco Lite dated for release

A budget version of the Tocco handset, dubbed the Tocco Lite, has been announced with a release date of mid-May

The Tocco Lite has been announced by Samsung as a mid-range touchscreen addition to the Tocco family.
The Lite is based upon it's bigger brother, the F480 Tocco, and will come offering:
- 3-inch touchscreen display
- 3.2-megapixel camera
- Bluetooth V2.1
- GPRS
- MicroSD expansion up to 8GB
- Accelerometer
Like many other handsets nowadays the TouchWiz equipped Tocco Lite will offer “social media features”, which in this case seems to mean widgets for one-touch access to popular sites such as Youtube, Facebook and MySpace.
From Samsung's perspective, offering the 11.9mm, 93g, budget version of a popular touchscreen handset is unlikely to be a bad move in the midst of economic uncertainty, we'll bring you any news on pricing and UK carriers as soon as we hear.
