Vodafone Spain is the first carrier to put the HTC Magic Android phone on sale
Published on Apr 28, 2009
Vodafone Spain has been the first network to offer the much-anticipated second Google Android handset, the HTC Magic, and it's come earlier than expected.
A launch countdown timer appeared out of the blue yesterday on the official Spanish Vodafone site and the Magic is now available for sale, a week ahead of the May 5th launch date.
The phone has a 3.2-megapixel camera, 3.2-inch QVGA touchscreen, GPS and comes stacked with connectivity options. If you're one of our 7853 Spanish readers, the Magic is available from €19, plus contract.
The Magic is the second Android phone to make it to market, although it looks like it probably won't be the new kid on the block for too long, with many handset manufacturers pledging to release at least one Android handset this year.
Whether this means we're going to actually have to wait for another week to get our hands on one is unclear- we're guessing we probably are- but hey, feel free to prove us wrong Vodafone.
