Samsung has unveiled its first Android phone, the I7500. It’s due to launch in Europe in June.

The I7500 will feature a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen and a 5-megapixel camera. It’ll also come with 8GB internal memory as standard, while a memory card slot promises compatibility for cards up to 32GB, via MicroSD.

Sacrificing function for form somewhat, it won’t feature a QWERTY keyboard, but will be less than half an inch thick, so well suited for the more casual or fashion-conscious smartphone user. However, the I7500 still includes GPS and WiFi capability.

Intomobile reports that the I7500 will cost €300 sim-free from O2 Germany, although we’ve no further information on UK pricing at this point. Although we’re likely to be swamped with smartphones by the end of the year, I7500 seems like it could cater well for the new breed of smartphone user.
