The winner of the billionth App Store download prize has been announced, and it's a 13 year-old boy

Apple has released the details of the winner of its $10,000+ prize, given away to celebrate the App Store’s billionth download- and it’s a 13 year-old boy called Connor Mulcahey from Connecticut. Needless to say, we’re very jealous.

He won the prize by downloading Bump, an application that lets you transfer details easily with other people also using the application. To fuel our jealousy even more, he didn’t even have to pay for the application since it’s a freebie.

The grand prize included a $10,000 iTunes gift card, which is presumably not available on the pristine shelves of your local Apple store, plus an iPod Touch, a Time Capsule hard drive and a Macbook Pro. The rest of us will have to wait until the next billion mark is passed, and hope that Apple sees fit to celebrate it in similar fashion.

Still from the film Richie Rich Ok, so it's not a picture of Connor, but you get the idea
