HTC Magic gets May official launch date on Vodafone

Following a minor delay, the HTC Magic has been assigned a UK release date of the 5th May

The second Android from handset HTC, known as the Magic, has been given an official UK launch date of May 5th on the Vodafone network.

A couple of weeks ago we reported that that for those desperate to get their hands on the second Android handset there would be a little bit longer to wait as a result of a “last minute hardware change”.

Now, while we don't have any more details of what the hardware change might have been we can now tell you that if you cast your peepers over at the Vodafone UK website it is reporting that predicted delivery for pre-orders is “by 5th May”.

When the Magic eventually arrives it will come sporting a 3.2 QVGA touchscreen display, 3.2-megapixel camera, HSDPA/Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS.

So there it is, an official launch for the HTC Magic on Vodafone and it's not much longer to wait for the Android-championing types out there.
