The final version of Windows Mobile 6.5 is going to be presented in three weeks according to a post on the Windows Mobile developer blog.

Stephanie Ferguson, one of Microsoft’s Business Experiences bods, will deliver a presentation on the OS in May that’ll less us in on all the features that we’ve missed out on so far.

A buzzword that’s become associated with the new version of the software is its gesture commands. We’ll have to fill you in on the full extent of these later, but they’ll allow you to shortcut to favourite features using a particular motion on the touchscreen.

Windows Mobile 6.5 is set to make the operating system easier to use touchscreen devices that are becoming a staple of the smartphone sector. However, actual phones featuring the new software aren’t scheduled to appear for several months.
