Sony Ericsson Idou to arrive in October

Internet gossip suggests that the first 12-megapixel handset, the Sony Ericsson Idou will hit the shelves in October.

The source of the rumour is a German PR rep for Sony Ericsson over at mobile.se who stated that a device with the Idou's specs will go on sale in October, though it seems that the Idou may not have been mentioned by name.

Aside of the mega megapixelled snapper the Idou will ship with:

• A 3.5-inch touchscreen 360x640 display
• HSDPA up to 7.2Mbps/HSUPA up to 3.6Mbps
• A-GPS with Google Maps
• An Accelerometer
• Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g
• Bluetooth V2 with A2DP

There was no update from Gustaf Brusewitz of Sony Ericsson Sweden on the “second half of this year” line that we've heard before. That's pretty non-specific but if this rumour is accurate you should be able to have one in your hands on the happy side of Bonfire Night which is the perfect opportunity to try out that camera.
