Motorola has officially announced its touchscreen Motorola Evoke QA4 slide phone.
Motorola has crammed a 2.8-inch WQVGA touchscreen display inside the round-edged slider form factor of the QA4.
The blurb on Motorola's site says that the device is “socially-inclined” so think social networking, YouTube, MySpace and RSS feeds and you probably won't be too far off the mark here.
If all that typing on the trusty T9 keypad becomes a chore there's the option of switching to a full Qwerty on the touchscreen.
Other highlights of the device include a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth supporting A2DP, A-GPS , an accelerometer and 256MB internal memory with microSD expansion up to 8GB.
Despite the official announcement Motorola has failed to give any specifics on when to expect the device or how much it will cost, though we do know that we can expect to see it within a Q2 time frame.
