The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, has been withdrawn from sale following teething issues that became apparent after launch.

It seems that the handset has been withdrawn for now as a result of being unable to connect, or maintain connection, to 3G networks.

AT&T's customers are reporting that there are no problems in using EDGE and GSM networks but that connection to WCDMA networks was virtually impossible.

In a statement on Cellular-News.com Nokia said that the incident a very isolated problem concerning only the North American market and is not specific to any other region or country", adding "Nokia is investigating the issue. Existing customers of the 5800 XpressMusic who experience 3G signal issue with the device are advised to contact Nokia Customer Care."
