Motorola RAZR3 is now the Ruby VE1?

Motorola's previously canned RAZR3 may find its way to market as the Motorola Ruby VE1

Pictures suggest that Motorola may be planning the release of a handset previously thought to have been abandoned; the Ruby VE1 aka the RAZR 3.
If the Ruby VE1 keeps the same proposed specs as the RAZR 3 it will come packing a 5-megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS and 3G connectivity which is all excellent news for a struggling Motorola.
Information on the Russian website Mobile-Review.com suggests that the Ruby VE1 will also keep the clam shell form factor of the RAZR series.
If it does ever make it to market we'd be interested to see which operating system it runs on, it was originally rumoured to run on the no longer supported UIQ OS and Motorola were apparently working towards producing Android-based handsets.
We'll keep our ear to the ground to see whether this internet rumour ever materialises into more than just that, but to be honest, we wonder if there is the need for another RAZR in the family.
