Acer has revealed the DX650 and X960 touchscreen handsets
Published on Feb 13, 2009
Acer has revealed the DX650 and X960 handsets in advance of official announcements expected next week.
The DX650 is curious one; on one side it features a touchscreen 2.8-inch QVGA display and on the other a standard numerical keypad with a 1.2-inch OLED screen.
Like any other self respecting smartphone the DX650 comes packing GPS, Wi-Fi, HSDPA and judging from pictures on Pocket-Lint.co.uk the handset also seems to have some sort of camera on-board but unfortunately we don't have any specs for it yet.
The other leaked handset is the X960 and it includes many of the same specs as the DX650, with Wi-Fi, HSDPA and GPS all coming along for the ride.
We know that the X960 will feature a 3.2-megapixel camera and a single 2.8-inch display, but we're not sure what OS will be featured, if the DX650 is anything to judge by then expect Windows Mobile to be the order of the day.
What kind of internal memory either of these will be offering we can't say but both will offer expansion through use of a microSD card.
We'll bring you more details direct from the horse's mouth when Acer reveal these, and possibly more handsets, next week at MWC.
