Samsung has launched a solar powered touchscreen device called Blue Earth

Samsung has taken sustainability to a new level with a solar powered touchscreen handset called Blue Earth.
Blue Earth looks like a pebble (Motorola, anyone?), and can be charged simply by presenting the solar panel towards sunlight.
Apparently, it'll generate enough electronic power to call anytime anywhere, although we're a little doubtful.
The Blue Earth handset, constructed from recycled plastic bottles, also features an ‘eco walk’ facility with pedometer so you can count your steps and calculate how much CO2 has been used by walking as opposed to using other transports.
Other eco friendly features include the ability to set screen brightness, backlight duration and Bluetooth using an energy-efficient mode.
