Rumours suggest that Nokia will be launching its own application store at Mobile World Congress

Published on Feb 9, 2009

Rumours on the Internet have suggested hat Nokia will launch its own application store at Mobile World Congress.

Information leaked on Mobile-review.com suggests that Nokia has already developed an application store, but it hasn't been made live yet.

Eldar Murtazin, editor of Mobile-review.com, says "At first glance, for now, the app portal looks so so, there is some confusion. But they are trying, polishing it and a lot has changed for the better in a matter of days. A right step in a right direction… And the distribution and revenue sharing model between app makers and Nokia looks very attractive."

It all looks very promising, although Nokia already has a number of application store-style products including Mosh, Download! and Software Market, plus nGage for downloading mobile games.
