Samsung has unveiled its own application store for Symbian S60 devices

Published on Feb 4, 2009

Samsung will officially launch its Application marketplace at Mobile Word Congress later in the month.

The Samsung Application Store will be launched with 1,100 applications for S60 and Windows Mobile devices, suggesting that there will be more smartphones from Samsung announced soon.

Games will also be available to download, with more than 150 already listed on the site.

At the moment, 11 handsets are supported, including the i8510, G810 and i900 Omnia.

Worry not, non-Symbian and Windows Mobile users; more phone platforms will be supported later in the year.
