Nokia N96 UK launch date leaked
The new flagship Nokia N96 will arrive in the UK in August - according to Carphone Warehouse's website
Nokia's new flagship GPS-enabled N-series phone - the Nokia N96 - will be launched in the UK in August.
The news about the phone's launch - previously only detailed with a vague 'Quarter 3 2008' - came not from Nokia but from retailer Carphone Warehouse.
The N96 - which will take over as Nokia's top consumer phone from the popular N95 and its 8GB variant - will offer 16GB of built-in flash memory, a 5-megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi and high-speed HSDPA connectivity and the ability to receive DVB-H mobile TV broadcast (if and when it becomes available).
The August launch date - if accurate - means that the Nokia N96 will arrive in the UK at about the same time as the long-awaited 3G iPhone. It should be a very intriguing Autumn...
