The Motorola Cartier A1600 Gold Edition
Motorola announces it will be releasing a gold-adorned version of its A1600 handset in collaboration with Cartier
Published on Nov 20, 2008
There must be something in the air at the moment; only a week ago we reported on LG giving its KF 300, 510 and 750 the Midas touch and on Tuesday this week we broke the news of its collaboration with PRADA to produce the PRADA II (KF900).
Now Motorola is fighting back by combining the two; a golden handset in collaboration with luxury jeweller and watch marker Cartier.
Aside of the golden cosmetic differences and a crocodile skin covering on the flip, the handset is otherwise the same as a standard A1600; meaning a 3-megapixel snapper, 2.4-inch display, A2DP compliant Bluetooth, microSD card slot and a GPS receiver.
So far the A1600 has only made an appearance on Motorola’s Chinese website so there are no indications as to whether this blinged-out version of the standard A1600 will ever officially make it to UK shores.
If you fancy treating yourself or a loved one to an early Christmas present this year you can pick up this golden Cartier edition Motorola A1600 for approximately $685.
