New LG PRADA collaboration announced - the KF900
LG and Prada have today announced the successor to its popular touch-screen KE850 handset, the LG KF900.

After scooping the 'best of the best' red dot award last year for the strikingly sleek KE850, LG PRADA are once again bringing another fashion collaboration to market.
The LG KF900, dubbed the 'Prada II' maintains the minimalist form implemented first time around with the KE850 except that this time there is a slide out keyboard to simplify activities such as surfing the web or writing email.
LG hasn't abandoned the touchscreen approach though and the handset comes with a 3-inch WQVGA display. Surprisingly, considering its large touchscreen and addition of a slide-out Qwerty keypad the handset comes in at a 130g, not the lightest out there, but hardly a fatty.
The KF900 comes ready to surf with an HSDPA connection (up to 7.2 Mbps) as well as Wi-Fi present.
It also comes packing a 5-megapixel camera that’s capable of shooting slow motion video, Bluetooth (version 2.0), a document viewer, and a media player that can handle more file types you can shake a stick at. LG and PRADA also decided to include haptic feedback and an accelerometer this time around too.
Fashionistas take note; the KF900 comes with PRADA ringtones, wallpapers and video clips including 2008 Fall/Winter ‘lookbook’ and PRADA animation films dedicated to the handset.
Also available as an extra is the PRADA Link, a Bluetooth enabled “wrist accessory” that also tells the time – so, err, a watch then? It alerts the wearer by either sound or vibration to incoming calls, messages, caller ID alerts and even alarm functions meaning that you don’t need to take your phone out of your pocket anymore to check on that phantom vibration.
Stay tuned for more information on release dates and pricing, we’ll have a sneak video from the launch up soon.
