Nokia N96 now available direct from O2
The turnaround is reported to be due to high customer demand for the powerhouse smartphone
O2 becomes the latest mobile operator to sell the feature-packed Nokia N96 smartphone directly in-store and online

O2 has confirmed that it will now be offering the Nokia N96 in its stores and online to customers, a month after the flagship Nokia handset first appeared in the UK. The turnaround from its original decision not to stock the device is reported to be due to high customer demand for the powerhouse smartphone.
It's thought that the reason that O2 hadn't initially listed the high-end handset was due to subsidy issues, having already allocated a substantial patr of its subsidy budget in subsidising iPhone deals
Indeed, O2 will not be heavily subsidising the phone for the cheaper tariffs and will be offering it at around £230 on £35 per month contracts. If you want to get the handset for free you will need to sign up to a hefty £75 per month committment.
Other retailers are currently offering the handset for free with tariffs from £30 per month.
