Budget LG handset with big features
LG launches the budget KS500 with unassuming looks but pretty decent features including GPS and a 3-megapixel camera
Published on Nov 3, 2008
Rumours of the LG KS500 were making the rounds a month or so ago, but this time the real specs have been announced.
The slider handset features a 3-megapixel fixed-focus camera and GPS.
The QVGA display looks pretty impressive on such a regular-looking device, and preloaded Yahoo! Go maps will mean there's some sort of navigation tool onboard.
There's a rather uninspiring 100MB of internal memory, but the handset does support memory cards up to 8GB.
Like you'll find on Samsung and Nokia device of late, the LG KS500 will be the first handset by the Korean manufacturer to feature an optical touchpad which is useful for navigating around web pages.
