Samsung M8800 Pixon officially launched
After we heard rumours of a super-slim 8-megapixel Samsung handset, called the M8800 Pixon, we were happy to hear today that it indeed exists and it doesn't look half bad either

We reported on the possibility of Samsung announcing the Samsung M8800 Pixon a couple of weeks ago, and to no surprise, it was launched today.
The device feels skinny in the hand and is marginally dinkier than the LG KC910 Renoir (by about 1mm).
Camera features look top notch though, with a whole suite of settings for you to use in an attempt to make your snaps a whole lot better.
There are the usuals - smile shot, panorama, mosaic shots, stabilisation, yadda yadda yadda, but there's also a handy tool called Face Link where you take a shot of a person then 'tag' them in the photo using your phonebook.
There's also a slow motion setting on the Samsing Pixon too, but we've just got a sample of real time video from the event below so you can see the tip top quality (yes, the launch involved dancers from the Royal Opera House prancing about).
Away from the camera, there's an improved widgets interface that beats the Tocco's because you can decide what you want to put on the widgets bar, from a list of about 50 different applications. This certainly beats the non-customisable interface on the LG KC910 Renoir.
We'll be putting a full video preview of the Samsung M8800 Pixon tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled!
