Sony Ericsson slips out T303 budget sliderphone
It's a small and compact phone with a sharp-looking metal, chrome and mirrored screen finish
Sony Ericsson's T303 aims for affordable chic with chrome and mirror styling and an entry-level rundown of features
Sony Ericsson has lifted the lid on a snazzy new budget sliderphone, the T303. Aimed at the affordable end of the mobile market, it's a small and compact phone with a sharp-looking metal, chrome and mirrored screen finish, but has a fairly limited set of multimedia features onboard.
The T303, which will be available in silver or black, has a media player application onboard, plus an FM radio and features Sony Ericsson's TrackID tune indentifying gadgetry. However, there's only 8MB of internal memory and no expandable memory card option to add more tunes.
The built-in camera is an entry-level 1.3-megapixel shooter, and a standard WAP browser is included. Stereo Bluetooth and USB connectivity are supported, while Sony Ericsson has included its usual run down of organiser functions.
The tri-band T303 measures up at 83(h) x 47(w) x 14.7(d) mm and 93g, and has a 65K-colour 128x160 pixel display. Battery life is quoted at up to 9 hours talktime or 400 hours on standby.
The T303 is set for release in mid-2008, although prices have yet to be confirmed.
