LG goes budget with another touchscreen handset
LG is launching the KP500, another touchscreen device, this time concentrating on price rather than features
LG has announced that it is launching another touchscreen handset, this time concentrating on keeping the price down rather than cramming in top features.
However, the LG KP500 still has the same widget interface as most other touchscreen handsets have, including the 8-megapixel KC910 Renoir, and it's not even small at 3-inches.
You'll find an accelerometer on the device, and wlthough you may struggle to use your finger to navigate around the handset, a stylus does come included.
Letter input mode includes a virtual Qwerty keyboard and letter recognition, while the overall look has been described as 'slim and lightweight, with a chic black casing and sleek titanium rim'.
The camera isn't as advanced as the KU990 Viewty or KC910 Renoir, but 3.15-megapixels isn't too much of a dampener for what is promised to be 'the most affordable full touchscreen handset in the UK'.
Apparently the KP500 will be released next month (October), so watch this space for price information.
