BlackBerry Z10 confirmed available in UK January 31 on major networks

BlackBerry has just announced the BlackBerry Z10 will be available to buy in the UK from January 31 on major networks.

The company formerly known as RIM revealed that earlier rumours are true, the flagship touch-only BlackBerry Z10 will come to EE, O2, Vodafone, Phones4U, Three, Carphone Warehouse tomorrow.

Sylvia Chind, Head of Handsets at Three said: 'We're delighted to announce that the highly anticipated BlackBerry Z10 is coming soon to the network.

'This new modern smartphone is packed with all of the best features of a traditional BlackBerry, along with a new speedy browser and a quick and easy user interface so you'll be able to enjoy all the benefits of the mobile internet including face-to-face calls using BBM Video over Three's Ultrafast network.'

Graham Stapleton, Chief Operating Officer at Carphone Warehouse, commented, 'This launch presents a fantastic opportunity for BlackBerry to reaffirm itself as a key player in the mobile marketplace.  There has been considerable buzz around the changes that will come with the introduction of BlackBerry 10 - it represents a giant leap forward in user experience that we're sure Carphone Warehouse customers will be keen to trial.'

Srini Gopalan, Consumer Director Vodafone UK said 'We know there is strong support from both consumers and business customers for BlackBerry smartphones and it is encouraging to see RIM continuing to innovate.

'The new BlackBerry Z10 powered by BlackBerry 10, is an important addition to the smartphone market in the UK. It also marks the first handset in our new range of ‘4G-ready' devices. Anyone who buys one of our ‘4G-ready' phones will be good to go as soon as Vodafone 4G arrives.'

We know there's a huge appetite for BlackBerry smartphones, and a large proportion of our customer base in early 2013 will be returning BlackBerry customers looking to upgrade their handset with Phones 4u.

The BlackBerry Z10 will be available for free from £36 a month and will be available in either black or white.
