Carphone Warehouse has leaked the SIM-free price of RIM’s upcoming BlackBerry Z10

Following a ton of leaks and video previews we now have a pretty solid idea about how much RIM’s upcoming BlackBerry Z10 smartphone will cost SIM-free.

According to one major UK retailer’s database the Z10 will cost £480 offline. The listing, said to be from inside Carphone Warehouse’s database, details the pricing, colour, and part number of RIM’s upcoming hero device.

That makes the BlackBerry Z10 cheaper than the iPhone 5 (16GB) but slightly more expensive that Samsung’s Galaxy S3, which can be picked up SIM-free from around £388 via Amazon.

Expected to launch on Wednesday alongside BlackBerry 10, RIM’s Z10 smartphone is an all-touch handset that is believed to pack some of the best hardware ever included inside a BlackBerry handset (LTE-support, dual-core processors, oodles of RAM, and plenty of storage).

RIM is expected to launch its new BB10 platform and two new handsets – the Z10 and the more traditional BlackBerry X10 – on Janaury 30. Expectation is high with every major UK network confirming support for RIM's new line of devices.

Know Your Mobile will be reporting live from the event all day on January 30 bringing you images, videos, news and tweets about everything BlackBerry 10.

The wait is almost over.
