RIM will unveil BlackBerry 10 to the world on January 30 at a series of global launch events.

It’s been a long time coming, but BlackBerry 10 is almost here. Tipped for release in Q1 2013, RIM will finally unveil what users can expect from its next-generation operating system.

RIM confirmed that it will be hosting a series of global launch events where it will debut what we can expect from the release grade version of BlackBerry 10.

‘In building BlackBerry 10, we set out to create a truly unique mobile computing experience that constantly adapts to your needs,' said Thorsten Heins, President and CEO of Research In Motion.

'Our team has been working tirelessly to bring our customers innovative features combined with a best in class browser, a rich application ecosystem, and cutting-edge multimedia capabilities.'

He added: ‘Thanks to our strong partnerships with global carriers and a growing ecosystem of developers, we believe our customers will have the best experience possible with BlackBerry 10. We are looking forward to getting BlackBerry 10 in the hands of our customers around the world.’

RIM says the platform will launch alongside a plethora of big-name games, applications, and services, as well as new core features like BlackBerry Flow and BlackBerry Hub, as well as BlackBerry Balance – a method of switching between personal and work settings.
