Spotlight search shortcuts

We explain how to use the Spotlight search feature on the iPhone

iPhone 3.0 introduces a powerful global search of your iPhone's contents which is known as Spotlight.

You can access this from the first Home screen by scrolling to the left (if you look closely at the bottom of the screen you can see it is labelled with a magnifying glass icon).

If you don't want to scroll to access the search just click once on the Home button to bring up the search box and keyboard when you are on the first Home screen.

If you're not on the first Home screen, click the Home button once to take you to the first screen and once again to bring up search.
