Conference Calling on the iPhone
Conference calling on the iPhone is simple to set up

The iPhone wasn't specifically designed as a business device, but the business features on Apple's phone are impressive, including the ability to conduct a conference call with up to five people.

Setting up a conference call can be confusing though, and may result in you losing some people when trying it out for the first time.

To learn how to conduct a conference call, read our step-by-step guide.

  1. First, you'll need to make a normal call by dialing a number or selecting one of your contacts.
  2. While on the first call, tap 'add call' to put the first call on hold and bring in the second caller.
  3. Tap on 'merge calls' to start the conference call.
  4. To add more calls, repeat steps 2 and 3.
  5. To remove one person from the conference call, simply tap on the hang up icon next to the caller you want to drop, followed by 'end call'.
  6. If, while in a call, you want to talk privately to one member of the conference, simply click on 'conference', then 'private' next to the caller you'd like to talk privately to.
  7. To answer a call while involved in a conference call, tap 'hold call + answer', then tap 'merge calls'.
