Apple has confirmed that it will begin selling 128GB versions of its iPad 4 with Retina Display

Apple has launched a 128GB version of its iPad 4 in the UK, confirming on-going speculation that an iPad with monster-like levels of storage was on its way.

Prices for the 128GB iPad 4 in the UK are as follows:

  • iPad 4 128GB price in UK - £639 (Wi-Fi only)
  • iPad 4 128GB price in UK - £739 (Wi-Fi and Mobile Data)

The 128GB iPad 4 features the same 9.7-inch Retina Display as the iPad 4 that launched alongside the iPad Mini back in 2012. It’s also got the same processor and keeps the exact same proportions.

‘With more than 120 million iPads sold, it’s clear that customers around the world love their iPads, and everyday they are finding more great reasons to work, learn and play on their iPads rather than their old PCs,’ said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

He added: ‘With twice the storage capacity and an unparalleled selection of over 300,000 native iPad apps, enterprises, educators and artists have even more reasons to use iPad for all their business and personal needs.’

Apple is expected to release a new iPad – one with some design alterations – in the first half of 2013. Current reports suggest the device will have a slimmer bezel much like the company’s iPad Mini.

The iPhone 5S/6 is also expected to be making an appearance between now and the start of Q2 2013.
