Apple wants six more devices, including the Galaxy Note 2, added to its federal patent compliant against Samsung

Apple wants six additional devices, including the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3, added to its pending patent complaint against Samsung.

Apple secured a victory against Samsung back in August when a US court found Samsung guilty of a number of patent infringements and ordered the Korean manufacturer to pay-out $1.05 billion in damages.

Apple wants six additional Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, and Galaxy Tab 8.9, added to its second pending case against Samsung.

Apple filed the second lawsuit in February, alleging that various Samsung smartphone and tablet products including the Galaxy Nexus infringed eight of its patents, reports Reuters.

Samsung countered the claim, however, stating that both Apple’s iPhone and iPad devices infringed on eight of its patents. A US Judge allowed Samsung to pursue claims against Apple’s iPhone 5 on November 15.

Samsung has yet to comment on Apple’s latest demands, however.

On a brighter note, Samsung is tipped to sell a record number of handsets in Q4 2012 – 60 million to be precise. No wonder Apple is hell-bent on getting Samsung hardware banned from market.
