Apple iPad Mini hinted in Currys Christmas top 10?
A Currys Christmas top 10 gadgets list predicts an Apple 'mystery product' will launch in time for Christmas
Currys and PC World have published a top 10 list of devices it believes will be best sellers this Christmas and among them is an ‘Apple mystery product’ which could well be the iPad Mini.
Of course, it’s a bit of a leap of faith, so take it with a hefty handful of salt. It seems a bit unlikely to us that Currys would have precise insider knowledge at this early stage and it’s more likely to simply be speculation that Apple may have released another product by that time.
It’s worth noting, however, that the brand doesn’t stock the iPhone, so although iPads, including the iPad Mini, are fair game for being that mystery device, the iPhone 5 certainly isn’t.
The ‘mystery product’ currently ranks number four in the Currys/PC World list, but the company also said it believed the only device ‘likely to knock the iPad off the number one spot is Apple’s latest launch, a product still to be revealed.’
Another talking point is that the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet has made it into the number six spot on the list.
The Kindle Fire launched in the US nearly a year ago but still hasn’t made it to UK stores.
Currys seems to be expecting it to arrive in time for the festive season, but it’s worth mentioning that Amazon is working on the Kindle Fire 2 and some believe the company will skip bringing the original Kindle Fire to the UK completely and simply debut with the Kindle Fire 2 instead.
