Apple has filed a patent for an iPad stand and the pictures suggest it could be a built in feature of the iPad 2.
The stand will work both portrait and landscape, with a special hinge to allow it to change orientation.
According to Patently Apple, the stand could negate the need for a dock.
The second patent that has come to light is a graphics tool that will turn the iPad 2 into a graphics tablet.
It's a stylus-friendly touch display that integrates a conductive disk and pivoting head.
The stylus is most likely to be used for graphiscs-based apps.
